It is Sunday and besides battling with photos to get ready for my folio I do bugger all……..this is tedious stuff I will not bore anyone with the ongoings besides mentioning that stuff like this makes digital very expensive (the amount of time spent in front of a screen……normally you drop your film off and direct the printer).
Saw Unleashed yesterday (the new Jet Li flick) it was scripted by Luc “Leon” Besson, and it has his fingerprints all over it.
Bob Hoskins reprises his role as a hoodlum, all in all a very enjoyable action flick. Today Terri started to watch Phantom Of the opera with the result of her blaring the singing bits out on the speaker system like no other person would do…….:)
This week we are supposed to meet with the vendors and the solicitor and get some things on the move…..my guess is we are moving again by the end of Aug. And will shoot Brian as well as I was supposed to do this last week, on top of that he has been granted permission to stay as long as he wants as the wording of the law was just shoddy according to the court.
I will post some more scans……..clockwise from top left:
Barry in Finsbury Park/DJ Cam/DJ Krush (all 3 shots were for 2nd Generation Mag.)
Lucia Sassano for a Dutch beauty mag./Rebecca Burton in E1/Loetta in Stresa, IT.

I was in London yesterday for few bits; a dentist appt. in High Barnet and then went to London Bridge to drop one of my camera’s off at one of the better camera repairers who acts like he just doesn’t want the business……………being 20/25 mins away from a tube stop carrying a heavy backpack with all my camera gear in it doesn’t help either. I intend to make shots of Brian.
I then went to Hackney Wick and this took ages, more like an hr. and by the time I arrive I am soaking wet from the schwitz where I meet with Russel “Chips” Chipping who is sharing a warehouse there with a m8 of his, Matt. We end up talking about the place (needs lots of work) as they intend to use it as a photographic studio.
Realising I am one stop from Stratford which is a stop on my overground journey back to Southend I call it a day and make my way back…..
There is lots of police walking arround. On Highbury and Isl. overground station some coppers run on to a platform….as my train is about to pull out….I grudge the moment coz I had my cam. at the ready (you never know).
I was supposed to meet Peter Gallina, all over from Milano and bragging about his b-day.
But because Signore Gallina mixes dates wrong this means we are not meeting until 3 weeks from now……..oh well.

Been scanning more of my archive and trying to work out stuff to be printed for my folios, it is a much bigger pile than anticipated…….
Propably going to Mustafa (printer) to drop some stuff off for starters…and upload more bits during the course of the week.
And also been in touch with Harry (my old mentor, old especially
) who has busted my arse for not knowing anything on colour calibration and management…….I am dazzled by all info I am fed….
I will add some more scans.
Clockwise from top left:
Dyskos Beach southern Crete 2002, Mindy van Dyke near Liverpool St. station 1998, Ryszard Boulez Den Bosch, Holland 1989, Krista Louise near Milano 1993, Evelien in Den Bosch 1989 one of my first shoots……………..

Will shoot Brian tomorrow, have said to him I need some nightfall pix…….Altho the last batch looks good I do think they look too much of the same as the ones I shot in April….and also get the feeling I am repeating myself. Need different light…..propably going to bring some candles as well…..

pfew
Well we have had a little turbulant week………
Last week got infected with a real rare and bran new virus (my pc that is….) and battled w. it for a few days and then decided to format, as cleaning the virus had done some damage to some programms…..
On the day I got it there was no answers from google at all, only ask. com prvided one link and that basiclaly meant I had to change AV and FW software before I could even attempty to get rid of it.
In the meantime I worked on some scans (I did loads) and also played arround with some “sandwiches”. See below
Also shot Brian Haw today

and ended up being there when White Hall got cordoned off as the police were arresting someone opposite Downing St.
The shot below has only 5 policemen in it normally a hundred cars a minute pass this road, and about the same amount of tourists walk the pavement….kinda weird seeing it this desolate…..
I was in a train near Liverpool St. when the bombs started to go off 3 hrs before the thing on White Hall………I feel lucky.

Had a good day yesterday, met up with some peeps and discussed forthcoming projects and also shot some stuff on Brian. It was very sunny and a bit of a pain as the light was right behind him…..I arrived at 10 am as I had a dentist appt. at 11 and thought Liverpool St. and the tube were pretty quiet, I was hella mistaken when I grabbed the train back at 6pm, it was mobbed, so as far as I can see it is back to normal.

Today I am checking a location for a possible shoot in Sarf End and prolly some more scans, did a lot of Metal.
Some Slayer (last shot on the roll on the Hell Awaits tour) and Venom (legends with only one euro gig under their belt shot at Aardschok fest. ‘83)

More scans today and some phone calls, to arrange a few meetings with some peeps and get things on the go.

Also of to the dentist, as one of my caps has cracked and needs a fix, and then the lab off course…..who I will pester with my presence, always happy to see me :-0
Gonna take some shots of Brian, i wonder how he is doing, i have not seen him for weeks. Weather is great, had a run earlier at lunchtime, ended up having a masive schwitz, which made me feel a lot better after all that glutonous behaviour on Saturday.

Had a lovely day yesterday, we were picked up by Dave (Terri’s younger brother) and Elena and had a great afternoon and evening @ Terri’s parents.
Some shots below, genius here forgot to take his battery with him so all kit and no power, so shot a few with David’s camera.

More Scanz
Been scanning more and have started to update online portfolios as well, which is all really tedious stuff but needs doing. feel very distant from the whole London thing (Southend is an hr away…), then again had this happened 10 days ago I could have been amongst this whole mess.
Having the anniversary of Terr’s parents tomorrow, this should be a good laugh, will take some shots.
And on Sunday eve. Tell and I are going to go somewhere for our own…..our 6th.

Tragic day
I was planning to go to London today and sort some lab stuff out and get prints ready for my book, but because of the tragic happenings on the London underground and the bus I decided to stay nicely put and scan old stuff instead. Speak and email with mates during the day all enquiring whether I am ok, which I am.
I am amazed the casualty numbers are soo low, nevertheless, one person wounded/dead is one too many.
Some more scans………..

Scanning loads
Yep, as the title says, I have been scanning loads of old stuff. Mainly from Italy and Holland 1991-1993
Besides that I have found out that the mortgage lender will do a structural survey within the next few days (about bloody time too).
On top of that going to make some appointments to show my books, need to sort some prints out first, which will be taken care off this week.
And it is time to shoot Brian Haw again coz I have been neglecting that way too long…….

ESSEX *)$!()%^£**)^
Last Wednesday the removal company (Aussie man and van) showed up an hour late and also with the wrong transportation, I asked for a 7.5 tonnes truck and they show with a Luton….. After “losing it” for a minute and having a complete go at the drivers (who have only been in country for about 3 weeks!!!!) I end up talking on the phone to the plonker who organised this……”oh, I thought you did not want one yada yada ydaa, yeah yeah lie to me again….etc etc etc”
We end up having to make two trips towards Southend, an add on of 4 hrs of just travelling…………w000000h00000.
We work till 10pm and then call it a day, as I have to work for More Magazine the next day, the job entails to follow ten girls and shoot them for the magazine, website and whatnot and to be honest alltho some of the pix come out fine, some do not (techincal matters)…simply because of pressure being added on during the day and numerous requests for pix of this and pix of that……there is no time to think out and do something nice, when I have suggested sonmething the schedule simply doesn’t allow it….
I will post a few below, mainly of the winner, Helen. The girls were nice and definately not models, as their catwalks are fast and extremely hard to shoot. The jury are a bunch of dj’s, Big Brother contestants and whatnot living of their looks (trust me yer not that handsome….), Lisa Snowden (who I know off from when she modelled in Milano in the early 90’s) presents. Having hauled stuff all day before and working like mad the day after has caught up with me, in the afternoon being on a open top double decker bus for 3 hrs and shooting constantly catches up with me right after, all I want to do is sleep…

By 10 pm I am shot to sh*t and can’t even think straight, I manage to burn the stuff off and stagger out on to the tube to catch a train at Liverpool street off to Southend………first time and all I can think is that “commuting sucks!”
The next day I get a call from Zeta (picture ed. for More) that I have forgotten to add on certain pix and assemble the pc in like 5 mins and sort out a disc which is picked up by courier 40 mins later.
On Friday I start the day real mellow and watch tv in bed and manage to catch some sleep and sort some stuff out (remember from a house back into a flat, you tend to have things that are of no use inside a flat
), we get a take away (not as good as London, but expected a lot worse) and we finish watching the second series of Carnivale (very good show).
On Saturday we do sod all, sleep and laze and watch some Wimbledon and Live8 (the latter looks kinda lame, altho Mariah Carey does sing great, coming from a metalhead that ought to account for something heh heh) and end up going to Casa Spencer where we are treated to some nice food and a few bevies, we listen to Live8 on the radio, which is kinda weird coz when we walk back inside the house and watch it on the telly we all realise there is a 5 mins lag between the two of them…. Pink Floyd sound good and they should definately do some more shows.
Sunday we more or less put our stuff up in the attic and manage to get organised, all that is left is the office……
Essex, well I am not in favor of the place, I come here coz I have relatives here, otherwise I would not be bothered, I keep looking over my shoulder as violence lurks arround every corner (maybe it is the area we are living in), children swearing, many drunks (some real ruff houses arround here for sure), I can not wait to move out again and get back to London a.s.a.p.
