Slow and lazy day today, watched Revolver (Guy Ritchie’s new film) and I kinda liked it a lot, thought that the reviewers were just being silly slating it for being another gansta flick….it doesn’t even come close to the previous ones….

Talked to Sejo in regards some improvements for the site, and gonna work on some photography stuff that should have been taken care off, tomorrow it is back at DIY , some painting etc…….

On Wednesday I did not do much besides writing mails and had Andrew Wills come over, I show him where the best mixed Chicken shish/kofte are produced, he has already lived here for more than a year so that ought to tell you something. He tells me that he has spoken to Paul Burgon (Mr. Maxim) for whom he has to organise a party, off course nothing is sorted yet, a last min. job as usual…..good luck m8, I mean it :-0

Thursday I meet Claudia at Selfridges and discuss various things, she is expected to meet someone who will sort out some article for the Times and wants me to bring my folio so she can show some of my pix….off course I forget this (like the total pro I am!!!) but I suggest I can email some shots instead that could accompany the article. I also meet Elena who does the interior design, so she knows what I want furniture wise….which is not a lot so the meeting doesn’t last more than 10 mins.

Today and the next few days; DIY, sales site and get specs for Crystal Suite sorted.

Meanwhile here are some shots of Mercyful Fate who ripped off Judas Priest, and who were ripped off by Metallica ha ha ha. Tallica’s 2nd and 3rd album (Ride…….. and Master…..) were done in Fate’s studio Sweet Silence. these are shot at the Aardschok fest. in 1983, and the two on the bottom row are from Siesta, Hengelo, Holland (the club got leveled….) about 4 mths prior Aarsdchok.
These days Mike Denner and Hank Sherman play in Force Of Evil whose 2nd abum has been released a few mths back and has some great old skool headbanging stuff on it.

Been to Holland and visited me brother Eric, his wife Monique and the their three kids; Alex, Lars and Madeleine.

Also shot some flowers there, they had two baskets with yellow and red roses on one of their tables, just did a few quick close ups, quite like the results….

It has been raining most of last week end,we only go to town if we really have to, like visiting my dad, whois a lot more coherrent for some strange reason. He asks things, and gives answer to things, it was a lot worse a few mths ago. So that is good. It looked bad for some time, but the last two visits were a joy so to speak, he wanted to know about digital photography, and wanted to hold a camera so he could experience the change in weight of todays cameras.
The flower I shot at my Mom’s, then me dad shot in the care home. My dad has been bed bound 24-7 for over a year now……….

Meetings, meetings, meetings and more meetings.

I have got some nice kit together sofar, yesterday Andrew Wills and I rented a mini van and drove arround London and gathered some nice tungsten equipment from a lighting place in Beckenham, then it was off to Ruislip to pick up a backdrop system bought on ebay. Meanwhile stocked up on supplies for more DIY (can’t wait……….) at B&Q and then it was off to Venture which is a photographic studio that specialises in portraits…
Me and 6 laydeez were basically pulled, pushed and whatnot just to create some sort of fun vibe for a pic. I thought the handling of the clients was ok, but the light set up rather dire…..it was like the equipment was cast in cement and not meant to be moved at all….
Photography means working with light, I think they’d rather not……..
Off course after that they rape and pillage the images in photoshop for some desired effect….rather a lazy approach to photography if you ask me……

Today met up with a few make-up artists and hair stylists to be added hopefully to the crew…. and in between I met up with Paddy from Lebook, who gave me a copy and I have decided to be in it for the next issue which comes out in March 2006.

Tomorrow it is meet up time with Michael CZ and to get the-b3nch on the go….been neglecting it since I arrived back in London. Before that I am going to try and sort out the stills and get them out of the way. And then after that hook up with Claudia and introduce Tayo (hair).

Yesterday had a meeting with bosswoman Claudia @ Selfridges, also saw the space, in short the setup looks good. We are going to be on the 4th fl. but there will be a stand on the ground fl. as well…this is very good news.

The meeting lasted about two hours after which I am on the phone and try muster troops for styling/make-up and hair jobs. I have a few meetings with some peeps tomorrow.

Today it is off to Beckenham (very south of London) to pick up some lights and then it is off to Ruislip (northwest of L0ndon) and then I am meeting with the core crew of Crystal Suite in Watford were we are to undergo a similar experience, pizza and drinks afterwards.
Looking forward to it:)

The shoot on Friday went well, I worked on them on Saturday and on Sunday morning as well.

Friday eve we went out with Andrew Wills, who was all up for it (he had had a few cans at home already…..) three drinks later he was ready to be mopped up…..lightweight……….

Saturday eve we used our free meal ticket (courtesy of the estate agent) @ Il Bacio (the kiss) a very nice Italian restaurant on Stoke Newington Church St.

Terri’s parents came by yesterday afternoon and dropped some of our kit off which we had not seen in 3 months and then we went to Clissold Park for a wander and ended up at one of the South Indian restaurants, which was vegetarian and quite interesting, never heard of any of the dishes ever before.

Quite a few things have happened, been a bizzy boy….
First off all I have been accepted as the Photographer working for The Crystal Suite @ Selfridges in Oxford St. a brand new project which will start in November.
I have been trying to look up equipment as I am sorta responsible for putting the photo studio together.

Tomorrow I am shooting two stories for Shoo, one will be a 7 page still life spread, well heeled shoes, we are going to intend to add frosty/icy/snowy elements to this as it is for the x-mas issue.

And then we are taking shots of all silver bits with Prisha (part of da C.S. crew). who will model them for us, I intend to take close ups, and combine her body contours with the items……it should come out great (in my head it already has).

Busy times ahead, and also trying to squeenze a quick break to Holland to see me parents and the rest of the fam……..hopefully in 2 weeks time.

The stairs are not finished yet….but they have started to look very nice….can’t wait for the end result.
Also painted most of the livng room now, the kitchen has had 2 coats and it looks bad, it will need at least 2 more…..Andrew Wills (back all tanned from his break from Crete) claims to mix woodglue with water will do the trick, something I just may try out later on.

I have some meetings set for Wednesday and also am shooting for Shoo mag this Friday, which is for the X-Mas issue (7 pages of shoes).

Watched Batman Begins, and must say I was very impressed, this does a lot more justice to the comic and the dir. Christopher Nolan (who did Memnto) did a fab job. the heavy weights (Oldman, Caine, Neeson and Hauer) all in support roles really add their mark on the flick, and C. Bale is becoming one of the better actors arround…unreal the kid of Empire Of the Sun has grown and become Batman:)

Here are some shots of Malene Nielsen, someone I have lost track off and would love to get in touch with again, if anyone knows off her plz let her email me. These were shot in Milano in 1991/92.
