Yesterday morning started miserably, everything that could go wrong did go wrong….,.I will spare you the details….
I received my camera back from Nikon and thought about putting it to use later on the day……especially after the box has arrived dented (like something heavy bashed on top of it…)

In the afternoon I have a couple of meetings and in between I shoot Brian Haw, who seems to be in a good mood, altho I do avoid any communication with him (as I still have to go back to the west end for another meeting), not a bad set for just 15 mins….the only downer is the massive dustmark I have on the sensor….the thing ought to be spotless coming from the repair shop…..oh well. Now I only have to wait for the lens as they are lacking the spare parts in the UK………………..something that took them 10 days, after paying them, to write me about and explain the situation……some “super duper” service there……

Feel a bit tired, got up yesterday morning at 4:30 to get ready to be picked up by Ken Odimar who took us (me and the two models) to South Wimbledon from where we changed transort and make our way to Farnborough airport to shoot an editorial for Lavish magazine. It was a full-on affair and we did not rest until we actually left the airport at 6 pm, where yours truly copped a few zzz’s on the journey back.
It was not an easy shoot either, a lot of restrictions and regulations and time keeping matters which did not benefit me at all.
Nevertheless some interesting pix (unretouched!!!)

Yesterday I went over to Chipz to pick up the final pieces of decorative wood for it be attached to the front of the shelves.
I then want to go to the west end to buy some fresh pages for my books, but decide to hang with Chipz who only just has to pick up a bed for a pop promo, ….but it turns into a long wait, after 3 hours I give up and grab the tube from North Acton back to the westend to buy the pages (needed today). I end up meeting Chipz at the location on Portland Square, a stunning house with high ceilings (4/5 meters high) could easily do a lil’ shoot in there :-0
Here are some shots of Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, who was back then (1993) simply known as Waley, he stayed at our flat in Milano for a while during the menswear shows (Jan.), I ended up getting his pair of boots when he left….
These days the man is acting his azz off in Lost, good luck to ya matey.
The shot in the middle was used for a cover of a magazine called Exit (a Dutch magazine) and what is also worth mentioning is that these shots were cross processed from neg. to slide, after adding a yellow and a red filter on the lens I had these processed at carlo Color in Milano, a great lab.
the girl in the shot on the right is Malene Nielsen

I saw Matador last night, it is with Pierce Brosnan who plays a hitman in crisis, quite funny, easy to watch and recommended.
Bought a load of pantzies on Columbia Road flower market today which will be photographed in due course for sure..

Working on some ideas for Friday’s shoot, hard to figure things out when yer blind (dunno how big the plane is, nor where it is going to be standing) all I have is a pdf file from the airport.

Last night we went to celebrate lil’ Louis’ 1st b-day at the Bell In in Horndon on The Hill, now don’t take my word for it coz big Dave Potasnick pointed it out to me, but the place was filled with footballer’s wives types…..now I absolutely detest the programm let alone seeing these type of people in the flesh on top of that the grub was ok-ish but too expensive for my liking (my missus cooks better and cheaper :-0). Then again it was good fun yacking away with family members……

Been lazing all day, worked on the Living Color pix again as well, wanted to add more color to the backdrop and I like the results much much more., this off course means that da lot needs to be reprinted……….

My g/f Terri has been ill in bed since yesterday morning, so I have been taking care off her for most of that day. I only went out to meet up with Chips and pick out some wood for shelving to be put up on Monday (the! D.I.Y. day in the UK for sure).
I dreamt about photographing TOOl who are coming over in June, and was being told off by Maynard for using a flash in the photopit, ha ha ha ha…………..

The shoot with the jet has been postponed to next week Friday the 21st, it will be at Farnborough airport

Meanwhile the flowers from Tuesday

Yesterday spent the first half of the day helping Andrew Wills, moving home (nice start of the week….) this means that not only is da director a goner out of the hood….but my two fave bandmembers Toby O. and Jeremy H. have gone back to become momies boys again as well……a sad state of affairs indeed…., then went back home with my new furniture (courtesy of AW) and started to re-arrange things in the living room.
I then started to get things ready for some flower shots but the light was up to no good so have waited till this morning to shoot them, hopefully they will be good, especially after the loss from last week’s fiasco.

This Thursday I am supposed to shoot on an airport with a private jet, but it isn’t confirmed yet…………

Off to Mustafa today to pick my last two prints up and have the rolls processed of today, will scan in later when I come back.

It was good in Essex (back there on Friday), also had a good look at a lot of pix and decided I am going to throw out at least half of the stuff….. realised how much photography has changed over the past few years…whether that is for the better is another matter.

Here is the new cover of Lavish mag. with my shot on it of Judy G.

Going to Essex today and go thru a gazillion tearsheets, for homework, all my files are in the attic @ ma and pa Potasnick, so shall be “hiding” in there for a few hrs :-0
Tomorrow afternoon Andrew “director” Wills is returning from Rhodes, ending a ten day grafter and I shall be giving him a hand moving his stuff.

Should be getting my camera back this week as well.
The film with the flowers I shot two weeks ago came back blank, I have no idea how that happened, a great let down esp. as I thought the photos were going to be great………..

Here are some Brian Haw pix from March 29th.

Been trying to shoot Brian Haw twice this week, and both times he is not arround, then again he is a bit occupied with the government’s currrent appeal to get rid off him. I am going to try again tomorrow.
Also picking the film up from last week and my final batch of prints from Mustafa, then get some new pages for books and drop off time……

The sales site is being filled/amended for the past two days, quite a bit left to do….hopefully open by the end of this month, maybe sooner.
Some pix from 1990 (!!!) Derek and Kayce in Varenna, I think I ought to thank Peter Gallina for this one…..as it was him who suggested to go there (and tag along off course……..and so the spying began… :-0).
I ended up going back there quite a few times or just further along the lakes (Collico), it wasn’t as busy in the beginning, the village itself was quiet in 1990, but 2 years later it had already gotten way busier, many more tourists…..
Still the views from the top of the mountain inside the castle were breathtaking.

Saturday eve we had Guy Pranzili and his g/f Silvia arround, I cooked some Indonesian stuff and it went down well. So did the lager :-0

Sunday we went down sarf to Catford where Ben and Sally welcomed us for lunch and a teaching in vid. cam. work, many thx for that.

Today I spent most of the day in South Wimbledon which was quite a trek, where I met up @ the office of Lavish mag. to cast some models for our shoot next week, looks very promising…..will be aloooooooong day next week’s Tuesday.
I just found four shots, taken from the flat in Prittlewell in July last year and after playing a lil’ this is what I came up with…..me likes.
Also a vapor cross shot last year in Jan. in Finchley and the moon last Dec.in Stoke Newington
