I just got nabbed by a bad cold, which for some reason doesn’t really wish to show its true colors as of yet, been surpressing it like no other yesterday and therefore our visit to Catford Bridge to see Ben and Sally Bruges had to be delayed….Sally herself was not feeling well either.
Instead I lemsipped meself up and tucked in and watched movies. The new Coen Brothers flick No Country for Old Men which was excellent, Charlie Wilson’s War with Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts, not bad but…..could have been a helluva lot more interesting….too Hollywood for my liking. And then Joshua which at times was very weird….the kid should have been called Damian instead….and finally Already Dead which was a pleasant surprise, a cool crime film with that SAW element (what’ll happen next???) and almost the whole flick plays in a warehouse……
Well Terri managed to get out of bed on boxing day so we could travel to Essex for a family gathering at Terri’s parents. Spent the night there and went home late on the 27th…
The 28th we had Nick Jones come round to finish the stairs and the doors upstairs, but nope there’s 4 doors left to do, and I am going to do it myself now, fed up with a lot of things regarding this particular job, I may as well do it myself. The stairs are finished and they look nice…..
I may do it even today as a hook up with Ben & Sally Bruges has been postponed due to illness……
Not really sure what we going to do for NYE, my throat is starting to feel funny………
I have woken up an hour ago and am about to leave to go to town and by some pressies, something I simply did not have the time to do last week..
On Saturday a m8 of Terri came ’round and we just slouched and did nothing, same goes for yesterday besides watching Extras The Christmas Special (which was excellent) and a few films we did nothing…
I exchanged messages with Chris Melian from Cat the Dog regarding an up and coming shoot early Jan….it ought to be very good.
The missus has become ill which is a a downer…I hope she gets well soon …………
Here’s me shooting the Mexicolas @ Dublin Castle, taken by Mexicolas Brasil. The ponytail is a goner btw.

I started to work on the “Hello Stranger” story originally shot for Total Spec, I managed to get the skin and the backdrops to get close to eachother in the tonal range…. I did not know what to do w. it for yonks.
Here they are:

I have not been doing much on the photography front much, I was offered a three week job doing some av/audio installation instead which I nabbed coz it was just before x-mas and the money could be well handy (it was
).
Besides that planning a few shoots in the new year, three editorials within the first three weeks, some portraits at the design museum and a few bands….
January looks to become a fairly busy and an enterprising month and that will be quite a change compared to the two years before…..have a great x-mas y’all and a fab. 2008. Enjoiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
Here’s the Jan cover of The Guide.

I met Mark kebble last night to discuss our forthcoming shoot in Cockfosters, it’ll happen hopefully on the 12th of the next month. I will see him and his sales beatch Tolgahan Saylan next week on Monday at the Angel and North Magazines anual piss-up….
I also have another cover on The Guide Mag. It is a shot of Canary Wharf that I took when I was on top of One Canada Sq., a shot I quiet like…

I spoke to Chris Mellian of Cat the Dog earlier, we are going to do a photo shoot in Brighton me reckons and it’ll happen right in the new year if all goes well or maybe just before that, see how it all stands. It will be a shoot for the magazine Sang Blue. Gerardo DeMaio has been so generous to offer me half a dozen pages.
I also chatted with Jamie Evans of Mexicolas fame and it all seems hunky dorey with them and things look rosey, not saying anything more you’ll see. I hope to catch them when they support The Cult in Feb. at the forum.
I have also amended the Mexicolas, Stateless and Cat the Dog galleries. Stateless got only one shot added but all three have a lot of the images turned into b&w ones instead. Something I should have done a looooong time ago, been shooting soo much color these days that I completely overlookedthe fact how easy (and good) b&w can be done in Photoshop (takes a lil’ training but well worth the stretch).
I also need to shoot a fashion spread for a new Archant title in the first two weeks of Jan. It’ll be shot at a hotel near Cockfosters…..and the Design Museum has asked me to provide a fashion shoot mid-Jan as well
X-Mas looks like a quiet and chilled affair, a few days in Essex for friends and family. Not going to get a car this time, we’ll suffer da trainz

The x-mas party season has started, well for me that is. I am going for a few drinks at the D1 Models party and later this weekend I have another one. There’s about 4 more lined up but then again I may use the time to go to Holland for a short break as well.
I know that there are a few shoots lined up in the new year so wouldn’t mind getting away from it all be it just for a few days, I think the missus agrees….
Saw Control the Anton Corbijn film about Joy Division’s singer Ian Curtis. I thought it was excellent, extremely well shot.
The Spanish dance story was not taken by WiG magazine (the conspiracy story will be pubbed by them in Jan.) but Reach Magazine has decided to give me the cover and 4 pages, and it’ll come out at the end of Dec.
Come Jan. I will have plenty of new tears in my book.
I am trying to sort the website out myself, not sure whether it’s worth the struggle, we’ll see.
