Cat the Dog gallery updated…..
I have updated the Cat the Dog gallery with the latest stuff.
My Portfolio site has been sorted as well, I did not like the way it was running at all, this’ll do for now.

I spoke to Peter Gallina later today, and he was in heaven as he had been allowed into the online community A Small World, a.k.a. ASW an online community where the cream of the cream resides, top models, art dir. of big magazines etc etc etc.
Only the thought of being able to access this made him come in his pants, ‘I got my first appointment in London (Peter lives in Milan…..) already thanks to the membership’, I fail to see the huge benefit when picking up the blower will do in 9 out of 10 cases. Try it Peter it works……..
Here are some shots of the Reach Magazine shoot at the Design Museum 10 days ago….I am calling it ‘Color Of Night’

Stayed in bed most of the day yesterday and it woz heaven ![]()
Nothing but watching a truckload of films East West which was very good, then I saw The Last Metro which was awesome, Catherine Deneuve looks so pretty and Gerard Depardieu does an excellent job too, the whole thing was just sheer movie heaven.
Later on I watched The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford which is great too, the whole thing looks beautiful, the cinematography is making me jealous. Good to see a great western again.
Today some photoshop, gotta finish the spread for Reach mag.
I was getting pretty bored with the photoshopping of the Sang Blue and Reach magazines shoots, especially when a lot of repair was needed on the Design Museum stuff, as a matter of fact I doubt I will do anything like this ever again, with a hundred punters looking over my shoulder and not being able to do a great shoot. One of the punters even called me a NAZI when I gave her the ol’ Bartolomy look (or stare whichever ya prefer
) as the drunkard was walking in the way…….
Anyways, it was a good opportunity to get out and see Cat the Dog at Buffalo Bar, it had been quite a while since I saw them perform live(supporting Zico Chain at The Underworld). The night “Rockfeedback” is organized every 4th Thursday of the month and has created some sort of following which meant the place was nicely packed, nothing too much everyone was able to get from one side to the other without too much squeezing if you know what I mean.
I meet the band while they are offloading their gear and wait for the sound engineer to arrive, about 90 mins later after the soundcheck Chris Melian, Andrew Newton, Daryl Prues and I retreat to a Italian restaurant on Upper St. (the food was alright, the salad was overpriced for something that just came out of a ready washed bag….) where we just chat and I also do some sort of interview to accompany the pix in Sang Blue Magazine…
By the time we make it back the buffalo Bar it is nicely packed and the vibe is good, I also run into Michael Lewin of Notion Magazine and have a quick chat w. him.
The gig itself is good, typical pubrock bollox soundwise, but the band sound tight and the crowd is lapping it up. Lightwise the place is nothing short of a disaster well that’s me out of a photography point of view speaking, I managed to get a few decent shots, have look yerself….
Here are some old shots, well just over a year old actually.
I found some time to mess with ‘em and the results are much much more to my liking..

Last Friday I went to the design museum as part of their glamorous late night opeining and shot a 5 page story for Reach mag. The museum had quite a few punters come by who could check out various aspects of fashion and design and that included me while shooting.
I had quite a few people walking in the way while shooting but I guess that’s part of it all…….but this isn’t something I would repeat doing very soon I’d say…the setting itself was far from ideal and before I show any pix they will have to be photoshopped quite a bit.
Yesterday Terri and I went on the train to Brighton, to shoot Cat the Dog for Sang Blue mag. It was a full on day but also very rewarding. Met Chris Melian and Daryl Pruess at the station from where we went to their shack, an apartment near the seafront right opposite Waitrose and I don’t know how many good eateries etc etc. We shot at the seafront first for about half an hour (amid heavy gales) and then went inside their flat and I shot them while they were giving me my private gig, sort of semi acoustic versions of “Gotta Leave”, “Devil In Me” and “Queer Future” and two others which escape me. There is one shot which is my fave, there is a real connection between the band, a fucking gem.
After that we went upstairs in the lounge where we set up some more shots, by about 5 it was all dark and we go to the pub where we have a few drinks, in the end we got disturbed by a drunk couple who did not know when to quit so we just leave the place, it was time to go anyways…
The journey back is a mare….we miss the train by 1 minute and have to wait an hour for the next one, in the end the entire trek is 4 hours……it should be a great 6 pager. I shall interview the lads on Thursday when they play Buffalo Bar.
Today just loads of post production, and tomorrow as well. The shoot from Friday needs a lot of attention.
Here are some of the “Love Me Tender” Valentines Day shoot in Hadley.

Shot all day at West Lodge Park Hotel for Living North Magazine.
I did 6 shots and even did the last one when it just got dark. I am very happy with the results, Mark Kebble wanted romance so he can have that…
I shall post some tomorrow or Monday……
I am shooting White Light Parade on Thursday, been a while since I last saw them and doing more fashion for Reach Mag on Friday @ The Design Museum to be followed by going to sunny Brighton on Saturday to shoot Chris Mellian & Co. a.k.a. Cat the Dog, which will be for Sang Blue Magazine.
I feel a lot better (as I fucking should coz this bullshit illness has lasted since NYE) and I have an appointment set with my GP set for Tuesday, sods law really, walking in and complaining about an illness which is just turning around (still feel snotty etc. but at least I can go outside)…..takes a week to get to see my GP, wahey.
I was going to go to the Design Museum and shoot Alexandra Schulman (editor of Vogue) and Matthew Williamson’s business partner Joseph Velosa but I feel so rotten that I have to give up on travelling down to Tower bridge and do the portraits, I simply am not up to it. I am being ill for more than 10 days now…..it starts to bore the living hell out of me.
I need to save myself for Saturday when I am shooting a fashion spread, I know for a fact I will be utterly useless tomorrow if I attempt to go out. I went out for 20 mins to drop a cheque at a bank and it nearly did me in……..(£&^&)(*(*”%$”^%$%*)(_)”
I have just recieved the pdf’s of the next issue of Rise Magazine, and boy what a letdown it is. Absolutely nothing has been done as instructed.
I need to threaten people with pulling the story if they do not intend to stick to the instructions, coz that is what it is coming to……some people simply do not not listen.
This is an absolute waste of time/print/effort………………..
Here is the cover (which was not intended as the cover) and one page (which I cropped) ..

I have been ill all weekend, it came back to me w. a vengeance and I decided to jump into bed and lie down and watch The Wire which has just started on its 5th and final series. So I started with series 1 and 2 (I am halfway down that one), 20 episodes in just over 24 hours……..told ya I was sick ![]()
In a nutshell, there is no better TV than this…….
This Thursday I am supposed to do some portraits at the Design Museum and later on Saturday shooting 4 pages plus a cover for a new Archant title in a hotel in Cockfosters, a boy&girl story. I am trying to make it look strong and sexy, but not too raunchy by special request of Mark Kebble….we’ll see.
Well NYE turned out to be the quietest one ever, lying sick on the sofa coughing away, so it was loud in that respect….I ended up watching a few films that eve and the next day.
I was at Notion magazine yesterday to pick up some copies of my recent fashion story, it looks cool…
The title got changed from ‘Global Warming’ to ‘White Men can’t Jump (’er)’ , no idea why…..it’s a shame the story got shot in 2 stages coz it has been affected by it a tad (don’t like the opener)……the colors look nice, well printed exactly the way it was intended.
Here are a few tears…
